In the field of online business, a preliminary step is to properly decide if pay per click internet marketing is a good and wise marketing strategy for your online business. To this end, it is worthwhile to calculate how much each visitor to your landing page costs.

You can compute this value by dividing the profit you make on your website over a given period of time by the total number of visitors for that same time period. For example, if your site made $5,000 in profits and there were 2,500 hits, each visitor would theoretically make you $2. The basic formula is profits divided by visitors.

This figure of a $2 per visitor is the bottom line of your online business to succeed. To make profits, your costs must be lower than your income. Therefore, you need logically to adjust your bid at a cost of less than $2 per visitor. Otherwise, pay per click internet marketing would down your business.

Pay Per Click Internet Marketing: 2 High Level Benefits

First of all, if you are new to the field of online business, then you might do not know that tracking your ppc advertising campaign is the first key to your success and this is always the first tip you get form any online marketing consultant. If you understand this process and monitor your advertising campaign frequently, it can be a very effective strategy with the following advantages:

One of the greatest advantages of is that you never have to tweak your web pages to change your position in search engine results, as you must do in a classical search engine optimization (SEO) campaign.

Another advantage of online advertising ppc is its simplicity. You just bid and you’re up and running. It doesn’t demand any specific technical knowledge, though the more you know about search engines and ppc keywords, the easier-and more effective - the process will be.

Pay Per Click Internet Marketing: Drawbacks

One significant drawback of pay per click internet marketing is this bidding war between advertisers to get the top position of the sponsored links in the search engine results. This simply involves the necessity to raise our bid to regain your high position again which might happen quite often in case you target highly competitive keywords. Therefore, your profits might be negatively affected.

I would highly recommend for you to start with free marketing strategies; yet effective ones like bum marketing or search engine optimization techniques. Then, you may start your ppc marketing campaign. This helps in two ways:

1. Having a closer look how hard or easy the competition is as well as having a better idea which keywords in your niche do not suffer from that high tough competition; yet enjoys decent traffic.

2. Making money with articles, or driving free organic visitors from the search engines may sky rocket your net profits since they involve really minimal costs. Then, you can use the profits obtained to design, track, and optimize effective ppc advertising.

Making Money Online - Without the Hype?

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

When I began my internet marketing online experience, I made the big mistake of starting with affiliate marketing building someone else’s mailing list. The training material was fantastic, very detailed and comprehensive. I soon discovered that I was really building a list for someone else the was not in my control. I am quite sure I made a great positive impact on his affiliate marketing business. Wow, what a learning experience!

If you are like me, and have been trying to make money on the internet, you may have a dream of quitting your day job to give you the freedom and independence to spend more time with your family. It is quite likely that the majority of those reading this (I guess they say 95%) have not been successful making money online and/or actually building a business.

What I’ve learned is that there is no quick fix or get-rich hype that is real. I bought all kinds of products, jumping from one hyped program to the next. I tried it all, but I lacked focus! The key is to focus in a particular area and stay with it. Whether PPC (pay per click) is your thing, selling you’re own products, selling affiliate products or whatever … it’s important to take action and stay the course. But whatever it is, building your own list is a top priority in determining your ultimate success.

Internet marketers are abundant and the “gurus” have made a ton of money, I guess! Much of it from people who lacked focus and hopped from one hot program to the next without having much follow through on any of them. It’s easy to get caught up in all the hype and find yourself consistently spending money. The one thing that I eventually did to help me focus and stop believing every hyped up sales page is to identify the few genuine successful internet marketers and become a student. I was cautious though, as there are many claiming to mentor, but offer nothing more First Alert notifications so they can keep you program jumping exclusively through them.

Building a list and over-delivering value to that list is the path to success. By connecting with a mentor that does just that is what I have done. Alex Jeffreys is no guru, just someone that has been extremely successful, and his List Building With Alex product is what got me started on the right track to be successful online. His product was free and it provided value, not just another ebook to file away!

Internet marketers are everywhere and the “gurus” have made a ton of money, I guess! Much of it from people who lacked focus, like me, and have hopped from one supposedly hot program to the next without having much follow through on any of them.

What do I mean by building a list? It’s a process where you collect names and email addresses from people interested in how you can help them. Whether you have some great service, such as ways they can obtain free targeted traffic to their business, or other high value information or product to help them become successful, they will appreciate you and become loyal, if you are for real. Making money online is a business and should be treated like one. In other words, you need to provide something of value so you establish a long-term relationship with your customer.

It is my experience that list building and helping your customer’s succeed is the key to succeeding and thriving online.

Discover The 4 P’s of Internet Marketing Mix

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

Traditionally the marketing mix is co-ordinated so efficient product, price, promotion and place strategies are developed for products purchased over the counter. The internet is changing the way we sell our products and services. That’s a fact. Consumers now use the internet to research and purchase products/services online. Organization now needs online strategies to attract and retain customers. The e-marketing mix considers the elements of presenting the marketing mix online.

Online, this immediate tangibility disappears. But, is that a disadvantage? E-commerce sales are increasing at extremely high rates. Why? What does buying products online offer over one to one sales? Firstly there are clear online facts about the product you are purchasing. The buyer knows immediately about product features, the facts, not sales persons assumptions. Electrical store offers clear information on products and their specification, consumers know what they get if not there is a customer service number where they can find out more. The buying process is also customized for returning visitors, making repeat purchases easier. Organizations can also offer immediately ancillary products along with the main purchase. As mentioned in marketing mix section, pricing is always difficult to do and must take into account many considerations.

Traditionally pricing was about finding about your costs, discovering how much consumers are willing to pay, taking account competition pricing then setting your price. The internet has made pricing very competitive. Many costs i.e. store costs, staff cost have disappeared for complete online stores, placing price pressures on traditional retailers. The internet gives consumers the power to shop around for the best deal at a click of a button. Such easy access to information helps to maintain prices within the online world.

E-pricing can also easily reward loyal customers. Technology allows repeat visitors to be tracked, easily allowing loyalty incentives to be targeted towards them. Payment is also easy online credit cards use allows for easy payments. One of the biggest changes to the marketing mix is online purchasing. Consumers can purchase direct from manufacturers cutting out retailers totally. The challenge for online retailers is to insure that the product is delivered to the consumer within a reasonable time. Location is important within our place strategy.

Online location can refer to where links are placed on other websites. Promoting products and service online is concerned with a number of issues. Having a recognizable domain name is first stage towards e-promotion. Most organizations today have some form of webpage used in most if not all advertisements. Placing banner advertisements on other web pages is a common form of e-promotion. Banner ads must be placed where potential customers browse. Web public relations are another approach to promoting online. News worthy stories based on product or service launches can be placed on the company’s webpage, or WPR articles sent to review sites for consumers to read. Hopefully this form of online promotion will pull the consumer in. Direct email is a popular and common form of e-promotions, although slowly becoming the most hated my many consumers. Organizations can send e-leaflets to hundreds and thousands of respondents, hoping a small percentage will reply.

To summaries e-promotion includes: Banner promotion, Web public relations (WPR), E-leaflets and having a domain name. The e-marketing mix must work together and support each other if the company is to have a successful online marketing strategy.
