Are you finding it hard to get hold of tickets for that great concert that is coming up soon near to where you live? If so, you may well want to think about looking at eBay as a way of getting the tickets you want for a concert, event or sports games where tickets are needed. However, you need to be aware that when using places like eBay to get those elusive tickets that not everyone selling them is being honest.

Before you spend your hard earned money, you want to make sure that you are buying from an honest seller, at the same time, you want to insure that you are receiving genuine tickets and that they are what you are looking for as far as seating goes. There are several steps you can take to make sure that you are getting what you are paying for.

How To Make Sure That Your Tickets Are Genuine

The first thing you need to do is check out the seller. With eBay they have a great feedback program for those selling on their site along with a rating program which can soon help you to decide if this is the seller to use or not. Look closely at their history, and whether they have sold tickets previously. When looking at their seller feedback check to make sure that they were not only prompt but honest with others who have brought from them. Did those who brought from them got what they wanted? This is the reason why eBay designed their system so that it is easy for the buyer to use. You should aim to be purchasing your tickets from a seller who has an overall rating of between 97 and 100%. Certainly even if they have one or two bad feedback comments this is not necessarily a sign that they are going to treat you badly as well.

The description is something that should immediately tell you if it is the genuine article or not. Along with the seller providing details of when the event happens, they should be providing you with details about the event itself and where within the event location where the seats are situated. You may also find that they tell you the venue name and in some cases they may even provide an interior map of the venue which clearly shows where the seats on the tickets you are purchasing are located.

Know what you should be expected to pay. Most people are not allowed, by law, to sell the ticket for more than its worth. Do your homework. Research the event itself, the venue, and know what the prices are for tickets prior to bidding.

If you feel something isn’t right or need to find out more then do not hesitate and contact the seller. EBay has a great way that allows you to contact the seller before placing a bid if you have any questions that need answering.

You may well find that some sellers will have uploaded a digital or scanned photo of the tickets themselves on to eBay and in some cases they may also have attached a copy of the receipt to show that they purchased these legally. This is certainly great, but not always will a seller provide this information, other than may be where the price of the tickets are very high.

Trust your gut instincts at the same time, if something does not feel right, go with it, your conscience generally knows best. Lastly, you should also use a trusted form of payment, typically PayPal or your credit card. PayPal offers what is called Buyer Protection, which could protect you if something were to happen to the tickets.

Points To Remember - Buying Used Motorcycles On eBay

Monday, June 9th, 2008

by A R Thompson

When it comes to thinking about buying used motorcycles, a person has a number of different choices open to them. They can either purchase one through a private seller who has advertised it for sale in a magazine or newspaper, from a motorcycle dealer or from eBay. In this particular, we are going to be looking at how to go about buying used motorcycles on eBay.

In recent months there has been a steady increase in the number of used motorcycles that are now being placed up for sale on sites like eBay. This is simply because their owners have realized that they will often get a much fairer price for it than if they just try to sell it locally. The reason for this being that they have a much wider audience that they are able to advertise their bike to. In fact today there are many motorcyclists who are willing in some cases to travel hundreds of miles because they have found what it is they want through sites like eBay.

However, if you are considering buying a used motorcycle from an auction site like eBay in this article we take a look at certain factors that need to be taken into consideration by you.

Tip 1- It is vital that before you actually begin bidding on any of the motorcycles you see for sale that you read through the seller’s description thoroughly. It is this which provides the seller with the opportunity to tell you everything that they think you need to know about the motorcycle in question. If whilst you are reading through the description you find you have some questions that need answering then immediately contact the seller.

Tip 2 - Sometimes you will find that the seller has included photographs of the bike for sale on their auction site listing. But these are usually very basic ones and if you can arrange for them to forward more detailed photographs relating to the tires, engine and wheels etc. Also if you can ask them if they can provide you with copies of any documentation relating to the machine especially in relationship to the who owns the motorcycle for sale. Many should be able to easily do this by scanning the details on to their PC and then forwarding them to you in an email.

Tip 3 - You need to get to know the seller as well as you can so review their feedback rating and look closely at the comments that have been provided in the feedback. Doing this you will be able to quickly see whether they have sold any other used motorcycles on this auction site before.

Tip 4 - If at any stage you find you are having difficulty making contact with the seller then do not place a bid until you have made contact with them. However, today eBay now have a system in place where if a person wishes to they can actually retract any bids they have made on an item if they are unable to contact the seller. This then puts the responsibility squarely on to the seller’s shoulders to ensure that they are available.

If you keep the above pointers in mind it will help when you are looking at possibly purchasing used motorcycles on eBay. It will help to take the stress out of not knowing whether you can trust the seller or not and will in the end probably up saving you a lot of time and money as well.

Selling on eBay is pretty easy to break into. All you need to set up are PayPal and eBay accounts, then take some pictures of your products, and add a few listings. If your items are in demand, you will certainly sell out due to eBay’s amazing traffic levels! As you sell more product you can grow your listings and business. When you get to this stage, you should look into opening an eBay store. This will allow you to list multiple items and give you the chance of multiple sales.

Before opening an eBay store, you should take several things into consideration. For example, you really shouldn’t consider opening an eBay store unless you are making over $100 in sales each month. This is because it currently costs $15.95 per month to start up a basic eBay store. With this membership, you will receive the most basic features that eBay provides. As your business expands, you can look into upgrading to a higher category.

The basic package still offers many benefits, however, such as providing you with a store home page. With the store home page, you can receive an unlimited number of pages on which you can list your products.

As you move to higher store levels, you can enjoy a greater number of benefits. Some of these benefits include having the ability to customize your pages as well as receiving more pages. When you reach higher levels, you will also gain access to the Selling Manager Pro. This program is an expanded version of the Selling Manager you receive with the basic package.

Once you have your eBay store, your store will also occasionally be featured on the “Shop eBay Stores” section. If you have a basic store setup, you won’t receive this additional benefit, though you will still enjoy some exposure. As you move into higher levels, your store will get featured more and more frequently. You will also gain access to traffic reporting and advanced market research tools. If you are planning to sell many products, setting up an eBay store is a move that you should certainly consider making.
