When I was young, I would write my private thoughts onto my diary and lock it away in a safe place.

Even then, there was much I would not write there for fear that someone would find it. Today, there are many that share those same personal thoughts with the entire world through a blog.

This is a public access online diary. Be sure to read some of the advise before you start blogging your life away,

You can make mistakes when you post in your blog, and that is why blogging advice is so important.

You never know who is reading your blog.

The problem is that you may be putting personal information out there that can be used against you, or you may be telling things about others that they do not wish to be public knowledge.

Think twice before you blog. You may not want to share your wild nights with everyone if you are a public figure.

People often search the internet to find out about the people they are hiring. What you write on the blog can make or break your job application.

Other types of blogging advice would be to monitor any blogs that your children may have. You can tell them they can not have one, or you can tell them that you must approve what they are writing.

This is because they often blog about obvious thing which can be dangerous if too much privacy are revealed.

Keep your personal life out of the blog.

Monitor what they do and say for their own safety and your peace of mind. That might be the most important advice on blogging that you can find.

Make Money Online Newbie

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

by Jeff Deveau

I’ve spent hours, maybe even days searching how I can make money online as a newbie without much success at the beginning.

Are you new to trying to make money on the internet and have tried online “lotteries” and other free online services promising $$$ without any success? I had done the same and was coming to the conclusion that I would need to get into computer programming or other IT programs to earn a living online.

Dishing out money to some of these “get rich quick” ideas is like buying copies of Adidas shoes from a vendor on the street. They smooth talk you with a great sales pitch and your new Adidas look perfect but after you try them out, you notice the quality isn’t there and you’ve bought a pair of shoes with almost no value. It’s no surprise newbies are giving up on trying to find ways to make money online after being so discouraged by scams and rip-offs.

While the internet is saturated with websites offering “make money filling out surveys” or “data entry employment”, there are a few that offer good value. People are now getting more involved in Internet Marketing and promoting software and digital products along with many other items.

While Affiliate marketing has been very successful, you will likely find yourself wondering where to start or what products to sell? To achieve success at Affiliate marketing, you need to pick one idea or concept and devote yourself to it. Getting sidetracked half way through or giving up after a few attempts is the leading cause of failure with affiliate marketing.

The necessity to have multiple campaigns at the same time seems to be a common misconception of Affiliate marketing. This causes people to spread themselves too thin which wears them out before seeing a profit. The competition in Internet marketing can be fierce and it’s always better to focus on one type of market than to be an expert in every niche market.

If you want to join a proven and successful Affiliate website for marketing ideas, they are out there and you just need to dig a little. Find one that requires a membership as many of the free ones are magnets for spammers who prey on people looking to make a living online. I must have joined 20 free sites before realizing that the ones you pay member fees for, ultimately have the best value.

If you do fall victim to a scam, take the experience and learn from it. It’s the people that continue to apply themselves that ultimately succeed.

The Benefits of a Home Based Business

The idea of working from home is a very attractive one for many people and the internet has made it easier to achieve than ever before. However, home based business success usually does not happen overnight. You have to be willing to invest time and effort to see results and have the flexibility to change approaches when necessary. Whether you choose to start a traditional home based business or an internet-based one, the advantages of a home based business are worth the patience, persistence and discipline required of you.

The ability to start small and gradually build a home based business is one of the most alluring aspects of this process. Many people are still able to keep their regular job until they have cultivated their business to the point where they can afford to run it as a full time venture. Starting a home based business becomes a perfect compromise for someone who has a family and needs to keep earning a certain amount of money through another job in order to secure financial stability.

Another advantage of starting a home internet based business is the low start up cost. As long as you have a computer and an internet connection, you can start a home based business if you have one or more products or services to sell. Even a web presence can be achieved easily and economically.

Starting a home based business also proves beneficial to family life, as your schedule is able to open up - making room for attending vital school events, milestones, and other family demands. Another home based business advantage includes the savings in travel once spent moving to and from a typical job site that can now benefit increased family time.

A home based business has low over head. Marketing tools and strategies for an online business are also less expensive. You will be surprised to find how many are free, including creating your own web presence. Let us not forget the fact that your business is also portable, especially if your business is internet based. You can literally work from anywhere you wish. As long as you can get an internet connection you could be putting in your hours at work lounging on the beach or watching your child at practices for their sports.

When comparing offline service, the marketing tools and strategies offered on the Internet are usually less expensive. It is also not uncommon to find marketing resources on the Web that are free of charge. All you have to worry about is knowing what you have to do and be willing to put in the legwork. For instance, when using articles to increase website traffic, you have to learn different marketing techniques on the Internet, as this will help you enhance your home based business without extravagant costs.

Another advantage of starting a home based business is that you will be able to gain tax benefits for working at home which can offset some of your current home expenses. For example, the percentage of your home you use for your business can be claimed as a tax deduction as can a percentage of power costs. You can also claim training and business related educational expenses.

The advantages to having your own home based business far exceed any downside there could be to working from home. As long as you are realistic and realize that you will not be “rich” overnight and you are willing to be dedicated and put in the time you will be successful. The easy part is starting; the hard part is making it work and getting profit out of it. Remember patience, persistence and perseverance are the keys to being successful. There are many people working from home and being successful following those precious little ideas.
